Opening Night Celebration
Description
The festival’s opening night celebration, First Friday, is one of the most attended events of the season. The musical entertainment kicks-off with Tokyo Sexwhale at 5:00 pm, followed by a colorful 30-piece marching band procession into Ingalls Mall with circus punk ensemble Mucca Pazza at 7:00 pm, and concludes with a high-energy dance party with local favorites My Dear Disco at 9:00 pm. After the sun goes down, as the party continues in The Grove area of the beverage garden with the festival’s s live DJ series, After Dark @ Top of the Park.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to First Friday as we mark the opening of the festival and the unofficial start to summer in Ann Arbor.
